Hi, Mike Russell here. It has always struck me, as I'm
sure most of you, that The Internet is somewhat akin to the old Wild West.
The analogy has often been drawn between the Gold Rush and making money on The
Internet. The story is told of the miners who went in search of riches and
how most of them died poor. The people who made the money were the
merchants who sold picks, pans and shovels. I think that's a pretty good
analogy. Let's be clear, those miners needed good tools with which to do
their prospecting.
But please notice that I said 'good tools'. There were many who sold
inferior quality tools, in search of quick profits and there were worse -
the Snake Oil salesmen, who pushed rubbish, backed by nothing more than hype and
outright lies. These people made the prospector's lot more unbearable,
wasting their money, but more importantly, their dreams. I want to assure
you that anything offered on this site is genuine. The world isn't
perfect, there is no perfect product, no perfect information, but I'm sure you
know the difference between a rip-off and a genuine product and I want to
reassure you that I do too.
I'd just like to cover the issue of our handling of your
details at Needs4Net. I absolutely hate SPAM, or in fact any form of
marketing that intrudes into your private space. I hate it, so I'm
assuming you do too. When you sign up to our list at Needs4Net, I
guarantee that your details will never be shared. Period. You will
always find an automated unsubscribe link at the end of every email you receive
from me. I value your willing participation, so you will always have the
choice to remove yourself (and rejoin, if you like) at any time. Moreover,
I get too much junk in my inbox, so I'm going to take it to mean that yours is
under similar attack. I will not be sending you daily adverts (unless you
ask me to!) or unnecessary 'twaddle'. I'm a real person and I will answer
all the communication that I can.
I hope this page answers your questions about the man behind
the this website.
Sincerely,
Mike Russell
